A jacket is an external garment usually worn as an extra layer; in addition, some jackets serve to insulate the upper body while few are only worn as fashionable outerwear. Jackets have been in for decades. There are formal jackets such as suit jackets and blazers and casual jacket like jean jacket or bomber jacket. Some jacket types are suit jacket, leather jacket, and overcoat or biker jacket.
Brown Leather jacket
A leather jacket adds a more masculine as well as fashionable touch to a man’s appearance. A brown leather jacket can level up the style factor and make you stand out from the rest, but as always there are some style rules to follow.
A leather jacket, in essence, builds up your arms, adds extra padding to your shoulder and accentuates your chest and creates perfect masculine outlines around your upper body.
Leather jacket has a variety of purposes– Don a leather jacket to shield yourself from biting winter- stand out against all males in a gathering- provides a layer of protection in rough surroundings- women are more drawn to fine leather material so if you are wearing a classic leather jacket you are in contention.
Leather jacket has a high formality level than other jackets but lower than suit or sports jacket. It can serve you for years with a low maintenance cost and effort.
Bomber Jacket
Initially crafted for pilots a bomber jacket turned into fashion apparel soon. Bomber is a fitting jacket design with elasticized collar, cuffs and waistbands to fit the body. Its light weight, compact and has ability to keep warmth which makes it versatile jacket.
Bomber jacket has two slant zip-up pockets on sides, it does not have a breast pocket. Since it does not have any collar it better goes with a round neck or mandarin collar shirt.
Leather Biker Jacket
A biker jacket is usually a leather jacket with fancy wide suit-like lapel front and shiny steel zipper. Often a biker jacket is black or brown, mostly fit for youngsters who want to don a tough layer while cruising at high speeds. Much metal detailing on the jacket make it more noticeable from a distance. Biker jackets are usually short like there denim cousins and reach just the waist.
This jacket is fairly a sporty garment to pair with denim, leather slacks. Cuban boots and Chelsea boots are special shoes to complement a biker jacket. Make no mistake to wear a biker jacket with formal shirts and dress trousers.

Ensemble – pair a black biker jacket with white v neck and dark blue denim and high casual boots or a light/dark brown jacket with black t-shirt and light blue denim.
Accessories- fancy studded black/brown belt – a wide dial watch- black/brown aviator shades.
Sports Jacket
Otherwise called sports coat is a more casual variant of suit jacket. It is a classic style of men’s jacket types but with a purpose to eliminate the need of matching trousers. The idea is to diversify sports coat and trouser combinations.
Varying colours and patterns to choose are at one’s disposal. Sports jackets have caught on since they give more freedom and flexibility to pair a single sports jacket with multiple trousers. Besides, a sports coat can be worn on Polo/crew neck T-shirts and casual shirts.
Sports jackets is a more casual style but one can dress it up. Pull on sports jacket with a denim and a pair of nice horsebit loafers. You can also combine sports jackets with oxford shirts, denim shirts.
Almost all verities of formal and casual shoes ranging from black or brown oxford shoes, wingtip brogues or all types of men’s loafers work well with sports jackets. Fabrics such as tweed and wool are commonly used to make sports coats. However Corduroy can also be used but its less common.
Suit jacket
Specifically a suit jacket is always made of the same material as the trousers.
You are advised to wear a suit jacket with the same pair of pants. If you combine a suit jacket with multiple other trousers your jacket is more likely to fade sooner and make a clashing pair with its own trousers. This way you can shorten the service time of a costly garment. Same applies to the trousers.
Suit jackets can be one-buttoned, two-buttoned or three buttoned depending on the requirement. Most common design is two-buttoned jacket. Then there are single-breasted or double breasted designs. In the latter design one side of the jacket overlaps the other side partially for closure.
Overcoat
The most versatile of all is an overcoat. An overcoat is a knee-long (sometimes below knee) comfortably loose garment which may include single-breasted or double breasted pattern and large deep flap pockets.
Overcoats generally go over a suit jacket or any other woolen garment; sweater or leather jacket. It is a complete protection for two third of your body from cold weather and chilly winds.
Scarfs, turtlenecks are key items to pair with an overcoat. Dark grey is a versatile colour for an overcoat since most colours will coordinate well with it. In severe weather lapels can be closed to insulate upper chest and neck.
Double Breasted Blazer
A blazer design is much similar to a suit jacket but varies in fabric colour range, design and styling. Earlier blazers featured larger pockets and a loose fit. Blazer is also identified by a navy colour and metal buttons. Blazers are sold in single breasted and double-breasted designs. They can be worn with odd trousers, denims or chinos.
In modern vogue blazers have been replaced by sports jacket due to lack of new fabric variety and textures.
Jean Jacket
Jean jacket visibly makes you look younger and sporty and its showy details are intended to attract attention. An unbuttoned denim jacket is more in fashion but a buttoned up jacket with shirt can occasionally be a classic dressier outfit.
Puffer Jacket
Puffer jackets are light purposeful winter jackets usually popular among climbers, sports persons, and travellers.
Inside of a puffer jacket are fine bird feathers called “down” to warm interior and insulate the external layer. A puffer jacket may include a hood.
Hoodies
Hoodie and sweatshirt are sometimes interchangeable terms. A hoodie comes with a hood to cover head and usually have an extra patch of pockets. Both a Sweatshirt and a Hoody can be worn alone or as a layer to insulate the inner layer.
Windbreaker
When the weather turns unpredictable with lashing rains and storms you need something robust and waterproof to protect you. Windcheater is a thin version of a jacket and includes thin lining layer. It comes with a hood to fully cover head.

Fleece Jacket
Fleece jacket is made of light fluffy wool, usually having an insulation layer inside. This a casual wear and is good for icy regions, it can trap heat and keeps you warm. Fleece being light also dries quickly. These jackets look fancy and suit every age.
